Buyers form an impression in the first thirty seconds, and photographs form it before they arrive. Pre-sale cleaning is presentation work: it targets what a camera and a first walk-through notice, which is not the same list as a maintenance clean.
What matters most before a sale
| Priority | Why it matters | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Windows and glass | Light is what makes photos work | Glass inside and out, frames, tracks and screens |
| Kitchen | The room buyers scrutinise hardest | Benches, splashback, cooktop, rangehood, cupboard fronts, sink |
| Bathrooms | Second most scrutinised room | Screens, grout, tapware, mirror, floor |
| Floors | Sets the impression of how the home was kept | Vacuumed, mopped, edges detailed |
| Entry and hallway | The first thirty seconds | Door, handles, walls, floor, cobwebs cleared |
| Outdoor entry | Where the walk-through begins | Porch, front windows, cobwebs, entry mat |
Timing it right
Book the clean after styling and decluttering, and before the photographer. Cleaning after the photos is a wasted sequence, and cleaning before decluttering just means doing it twice.
If you are moving out rather than selling, vacate cleaning is the service you want.
Where we work
We service Melbourne's eastern and south-eastern suburbs from our base in Croydon.
Common questions
When should I book it?
After decluttering and styling, before photography. That order saves you doing it twice.
Is this the same as a vacate clean?
No. A vacate clean meets a rental inspection standard on an empty property. Pre-sale cleaning is presentation work, often in an occupied home.
Can you clean between open homes?
Yes. Plenty of vendors book a shorter reset between inspections.
