Steam works where scrubbing has stopped making a difference. Heat loosens grime that has bonded to a porous surface, so it lifts out rather than being pushed around — and it does it with very little water and without heavy chemicals.
Where steam cleaning earns its place
| Surface | What steam does | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bathroom grout | Lifts discolouration out of the porous surface | The most common reason people book it |
| Tiled floors | Cleans the tile and the grout line together | Especially effective on textured tiles |
| Shower screens and seals | Softens soap and mineral build-up | Pairs well with a screen treatment |
| Upholstery | Refreshes fabric without soaking it | We check the care label first |
| Kitchen splashbacks | Cuts through cooking grease film | Rangehood surrounds too |
| Mattresses | Surface refresh | Needs drying time before the bed is remade |
What steam will not fix
Steam lifts grime; it does not restore a surface that is worn, etched or permanently stained. If we think a surface is past cleaning we will tell you rather than charge you to find out.
Where we work
We service Melbourne's eastern and south-eastern suburbs from our base in Croydon.
Common questions
Is steam cleaning safe for all surfaces?
No, and that matters. Heat and moisture can damage some timber, laminate and delicate fabrics. We check the surface before we start.
How long does it take to dry?
Hard surfaces are usually dry within the hour. Upholstery and mattresses take longer — plan for a few hours before use.
Do you use chemicals as well?
Usually very little. That is much of the point. Where a surface needs a product we use environmentally friendly ones.
