A regular clean maintains the standard of your home so it never has to be rescued. It normally takes two to five hours depending on the size of the house, and it runs to a checklist you have seen and agreed before we start.
What a regular clean includes
| Area | Every visit |
|---|---|
| General surfaces | Dusting throughout, including spot cleaning around doors and light switches |
| Floors | Vacuumed and mopped |
| Kitchen | General cleaning of all surfaces, sink, stovetop and appliance fronts |
| Bathrooms and toilets | Shower, screen, basin, toilet, mirror and floor |
| Bedrooms | Dusted and vacuumed, beds made or linen changed on request |
| Bins | Emptied and relined |
We can customise the checklist to suit your household. Tell us what matters and what we can skip.
Weekly or fortnightly?
Fortnightly suits most households. Weekly tends to make sense with young children, indoor pets, shift work, or a larger home where two weeks is simply too long between resets.
| Your situation | Usual fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Two adults, no pets, out during the day | Fortnightly | The home does not accumulate quickly enough to need weekly |
| Young children at home | Weekly | Kitchens, bathrooms and floors turn over much faster |
| Indoor pets | Weekly | Hair and dander build up continuously on floors and soft furnishings |
| Four or more bedrooms in daily use | Weekly | More rooms in use than a fortnightly visit can hold |
| Working from home full time | Weekly or fortnightly | Depends on how much of the house is actually in use |
| Holiday home or rarely used property | Monthly | Enough to keep dust and damp in check |
Regular, spring or vacate?
These three get confused constantly. Here is the short version.
| Regular | Spring / deep | Vacate | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Maintain | Reset | Meet an inspection |
| Interval | Weekly to monthly | About six-monthly | Once, on moving out |
| Inside oven | No | Yes | Yes |
| Windows in and out | No | Yes | Yes |
| Property occupied | Yes | Yes | No |
See spring and deep cleaning or vacate cleaning if one of those is closer to what you need.

Common questions
How long does a regular clean take?
Two to five hours depending on the size of your home and how many rooms are in daily use. We give you a realistic estimate after the walk-through.
Do I need to be home?
No. Most regular clients arrange access and go about their day.
Will the first clean take longer?
Usually yes. The first visit brings the home up to a baseline that the routine then holds. We tell you up front if we think a deep clean is the sensible starting point instead.
Can I skip a week?
Yes. Let us know as early as you can so we can offer the slot to someone else and keep your place in the run.
